This documentary demonstrated the many aspects in which clubbing changed the world from fashion to interior design. It begins by detailing the spread of clubbing. While electronic music is the cornerstone of clubbing, it grows intriguing how electronic music emerged and had a big impact on lifestyle. As the documentary emphasized the role of clubbing/electronic music changing the elitism in fashion industry, the question of how this happens emerges.

This academic journal addresses the similarity between fashion and music in many aspects. Opening the journal, the author describes music and fashion as similar in the way they both depend on cyclical creativity. The author continues to imply another similarity between music and fashion: they are driving by a similar group of people. This journal was help for defining my question as it reassures the existence of the hidden relationship between music and fashion and help me understand both industries more in depth.

Erica describes rave culture in great detail, its purpose, its format, early governmental inference, etc. Erica also emphasizes the abundance of drugs present in rave scenes and the health risks associated with them. Then, she generalizes the attendees of the raving activities as 15 to 25 years of age, middle class background. She concludes the journal with her comment on the failed governmental interference and what could be other ways to present harm. She implied the possibilities of safer and legal environment.

Gibson details the development of electronic music from dubstep to disco, to the electronic music festivals today. Gibson began by explaining the origin of electronic music, then transitioned into different style of electronic music from 1970s to current year. In the end, Gibson concluded this online article with demonstrating the reason of electronic music’s popularity and why Internet was a main reason.

Yaskey begins the article by giving general introduction of electronic music. Then, Yaskey transitions into characterizing the influence of electronic music on fashion by detailing the specific cases in which there is electronic music influences in the runways. Finally, Yaskey categorizes the ways electronic music influences fashion in four categories from neon colors, periodic pieces, weird silhouettes, to scent pants by explaining the traits and giving powerful examples of them.

Cerni also questioned the change in rave clothing by quoting someone saying raving is not about appreciating the music any more, Finally, Cerni concludes this article with a statement on raving as an activity to step out of everyday life.
